Services
Effective February 24, 2025, our clinic is partnering with PatientSERV, the Ontario Medical Association’s designated provider for managing uninsured services. This collaboration offers patients a streamlined online platform and dedicated support team to efficiently handle payments for services not covered by OHIP.
Uninsured Services
While OHIP covers many essential medical services, some administrative and medical services fall outside its coverage and require direct payment from patients.
We set our non-OHIP fees in accordance with the guidelines established by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and the Ontario Medical Association (OMA).
Below are examples of common services that OHIP does not cover:
Sick notes
Requesting prescription refills without a visit or requested by a pharmacist on your behalf
Insurance forms for massage and physiotherapy
School notes
Missed appointments
For a complete list of fees, please refer to our Uninsured Service Fee Guide at the bottom of this page. This guide also outlines the services included in the PS365 Annual Fee Plan detailed below.
PS365 Annual Fee Plan Options
We offer an annual payment plan that consolidates select non-OHIP services into a single fee, providing an alternative to individual 'Pay-As-You-Go' charges. A comprehensive list of included services is available at the bottom of this page. Examples include:
Prescriptions Renewals
Notes and letters - sick, return to work, immunization records, insurance, school, camp, fitness
Non-OHIP Periodic Exam
Email records, and email communication with secretarial staff
Non-OHIP immunization and shots
Insurance Claim Notes - massage, physiotherapy, orthotics
Important Update: This year we will be phasing out our Pomelo portal and instead we will be using a platform called Ocean for messaging patients. Those who pay the block fee will be given a URL link to use to message the front desk staff, functioning similarly to Pomelo’s two-way messaging. As with Pomelo, this feature is not meant to be used for urgent medical matters, or requests for prescription renewals - it is reserved for NON URGENT communication and will be triaged according to need and staff availability.
